About the role

Amentum UK and International is currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Management Accountant with month-end processes, reporting, and other finance tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare accurate month-end journals to meet deadlines.
2. Report on overhead spend, including variance analysis.
3. Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
4. Reconcile company credit cards monthly.
5. Manage and invoice intercompany costs.
6. Perform ad hoc reporting and other related tasks.

Experience and requirements

• Ideally, one year of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Excel and general ledger systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail.
