Accounts Assistant

Your new company

I am partnering with an organisation in Swindon who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their small team as a result of organisational growth.

Your new role

As an Accounts Assistant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Banking and reconciliations.
  • Supplier and BACS payments.
  • Income processing.
  • Supporting with the production of monthly management accounts, nominal ledger and cashbook, control accounts and supporting with year-end.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and supporting with budgeting and forecasting as well as business partnering with internal stakeholders across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
  • AAT qualified or studying for CIMA/ACCA, or have relevant experience in accounting, including nominal ledger, VAT, month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in business partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good IT skills (ideally Sage) and Excel, along with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
