Job description

Amentum are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month contract. The Accounts Assistant will aid the Senior Management Accountant with month end processes, reporting and other ad hoc finance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accurate month end journals to tight deadlines.
  • Reporting on overhead spend, including variance analysis.
  • Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Monthly reconciliations of company credit cards
  • Management and invoicing of intercompany costs.
  • Ad hoc reporting and other tasks as required.

Experience

  • Ideally one year in a similar role.

Requirements

  • Proficient in excel and use of general ledger systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform well whilst working alone or in a team.
  • Good attention to detail.

You will be eligible for UK security clearance.
