Accounts Assistant Central London

£40,000 base salary | Hybrid (3 days in office) | Study support | 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Were looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accounts Assistantto join our small, collaborative finance team based in Central London. This is a great opportunity to take ownership in a hands-on role where your financial insights will support commercial decision-making across the business.

Working within a close-knit team of three and reporting to the Financial Controller, youll help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial information. The role covers everything from period-end accounts preparation and management reporting to day-to-day AP/AR and treasury support. Youll be responsible for journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and monthly submissions of actuals, forecasts, and budgets to the FS Group. Youll also provide variance analysis and insight to support key planning decisions.

We use the OneAdvancedaccounting system, with ticketing and financial data feeding in from the PICOsystem. Excelremains a vital tool in month-end processes, so confidence with spreadsheets is key. Youll work cross-functionally to maintain supplier relationships, assist with audits, and support treasury activities including payment runs and bank postings.

Were looking for someone AAT qualified or actively working towards a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA; we offerstudy supportto help you progress. You should bring experience in AP/AR, journal entries, and reporting, along with a proactive, accurate, and organised approach to your work. You'll need to be comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple deadlines.
