Accounts Assistant | Carlisle

Your new company

An evolving Group organisation with a head office based in Carlisle, an industry leader with an expanding customer base, currently seeking a full-time Purchase Ledger to join their Finance Team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

Working as part of a small team, you will support the Purchase Ledger function across 4 trading legal entities to ensure efficient processing of invoices, credits, and payments. Duties will include:

  1. Accurately coding invoices and credit notes on various accountancy packages.
  2. Matching invoices to purchase orders.
  3. Ensuring compliance with authorization procedures.
  4. Creating new supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts.
  5. Completing supplier statement reconciliations.
  6. Preparing payment reports and month-end purchase order accruals.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Experience in a similar finance role.
  • AAT level 3 or similar (ideal).
