Job summary

Abacus Consulting is partnering with a well-respected business to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their head office finance team in Bedford. The role offers hybrid working and involves managing accounts payable, preparing management accounts, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliations, budgeting, forecasts and cashflow planning.

The ideal candidate is an AAT/CIMA/ACCA student with accounts payable experience and some management accounts exposure; ERP experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• The role is aimed at AAT/CIMA/ACCA studiers (probably AAT part qual or CIMA/ACCA early stages).
• Must have Accounts Payable and ideally some management accounts experience, and any ERP experience would also be useful.
• Will need to be confident working in Excel.

Management Accounts Assistant, Bedford, circa 30k- 35k, hybrid working

Abacus Consulting are delighted to be partnering a well-respected business as they search for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy head office finance team. The business is enjoying a period of growth and are well known for their innovation and high-quality product range. Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, your duties as the Accounts Assistant will include: -

• Managing Accounts Payable
• Management accounts preparation
• Variance analysis and commentary
• Intercompany balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with budgets and forecasts
• Cashflow forecasting

The role is aimed at AAT/CIMA/ACCA studiers (probably AAT part qual or CIMA/ACCA early stages). Must have Accounts Payable and ideally some management accounts experience, and any ERP experience would also be useful. Will need to be confident working in Excel. Candidates who are available immediately, or available to start a new role at short notice, will be of particular interest - client would ideally like someone in place first week in September. This is a permanent/full-time role with a hybrid working arrangement.
