Job summary

Irizar UK in Blyth is offering an Accounts Apprentice position. You will support the Accounts Manager with daily tasks and develop practical accounting knowledge through an apprenticeship, with progression toward an Assistant Accountant role as you gain experience.

You will train at North Lindsey College or Doncaster College, attend one day per week, and undertake the Level 3 Accounts Assistant standard. A full driving licence is desirable and travel to work and college is required.

Qualifications

• Requires enrolment in a formal apprenticeship
• Must be able to travel to work and college
• Driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing purchase invoices and credit notes, checking details and obtaining approvals
• Support the preparation of sales invoices and recording of customer receipts
• Maintain accurate accounting records, spreadsheets and electronic filing
• Help prepare payment information and process expense records
• Respond to routine accounts queries and escalate where appropriate
• Support month-end activities
• Handle confidential information in line with data protection procedures
• Participate in apprenticeship learning and assessments
• Undertake other accounts administration tasks as competence develops
