SI Recruitment Limited is seeking an Accounts & Audit Senior to join our North East team. You will manage accounts and audits across a varied client portfolio, from sole traders to limited companies, developing client relationships and guiding junior staff.

You will lead audits from planning to completion, assist with tax computations and stay abreast of regulatory changes. A proactive team player with strong communication skills is essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts and audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare year‑end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Carry out audit fieldwork, identify issues and ensure files are completed accurately.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and other compliance requirements.
• Act as a key contact for clients, providing professional support and advice.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Manage workloads effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Maintain strong technical knowledge and keep up to date with regulatory changes.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service.
