Job summary

Mellis Blue is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior for a permanent role in Bedfordshire. This pivotal position involves managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and leading audits while ensuring compliance with UK standards.

The ideal candidate will have an ACA or ACCA qualification, strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, and excellent communication skills. You will play a critical role in mentoring junior staff, delivering high-quality work to senior management, and contributing to a dynamic team environment that promotes career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering audits with a focus on planning and review processes.
• Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SMEs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, tax compliance, and conducting audits.
• Plan, supervise, and complete robust audits and accounts, ensuring compliance with UK standards.
• Assist in tax computations and client communications.

Skills

Solid technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK auditing standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of financial reporting, tax compliance, and conducting audits with a focus on meticulous planning and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality work to senior management, mentoring junior team members, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position offers exposure to a broad client base and clear pathways for career progression within a supportive environment. The role requires leadership in audit planning, execution, and review, ensuring compliance with UK standards, and providing technical support. You will plan, supervise, and complete robust audits and accounts, resolving complex issues and ensuring timely completion within budget. Additionally, you will assist in tax computations and client communications, contributing to the firm’s overall service delivery and compliance standards.
