Job summary

Aramex in Slough is seeking an experienced accounting leader to coordinate AP/AR and general accounting activities. You will drive the monthly close, manage a small team of clerks, ensure data integrity, and support internal and external stakeholders with timely financial reporting.

The role requires strong leadership and deep understanding of financial controls, with excellent communication across departments. A proactive approach to process improvement is essential for ongoing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an accounting team
• Solid understanding of financial management principles
• Expertise in managing accounts payable processes and vendor relationships
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving accounting standards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the work of accounting clerks handling AP, AR and general accounting transactions
• Review daily transactions to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Ensure all financial entries are authorised and aligned with budgets
• Maintain internal controls and data security
• Oversee monthly reconciliations and timely processing of payments
• Support monthly close procedures and reporting requirements
• Ensure AR invoices and payments are recorded and allocated correctly
• Provide accounting support to internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation
• Assist in supplier queries and maintain supplier relationships
• Prepare financial reports for management and KPIs
• Set KPIs for direct reports and conduct performance reviews
• Foster teamwork and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
