Job summary

Gen II (UK) Southampton is seeking an accomplished accounting leader to assist with day-to-day accounting services within the service line and to help develop an expanding internal Centre of Excellence (CoE). You will oversee resource planning for the team and supervise staff while deputising for the Senior Manager when required.

You will manage timely production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, VAT and CIS returns, ensure ISAE 3402 compliance, and maintain alignment with

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
• Minimum of 5 years' practical accounting work experience
• Experience producing financial statements for varied entities
• Experience managing, developing and coaching others in a team environment
• Experience in financial services, fund administration or private equity is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Excellent knowledge of UK VAT and CIS is preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Manager and Head of Jurisdiction to deliver first-class service to clients
• Deputise for the Senior Manager when absent
• Produce timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts
• Produce timely VAT returns (monthly/quarterly)
• Produce timely CIS returns
• Ensure ISAE 3402 compliance and service levels
• Maintain compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS
• Manage stakeholder expectations and client relationships
• Plan and allocate client portfolio and team time efficiently
• Oversee appraisals and development of team members
• Review workload and resources to meet deadlines
• Supervise team activities and client-related procedures
