Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting department in the UK, ensuring US GAAP compliance, SOX controls, and accurate financial reporting. The role supports budgeting, payroll, and monthly closings while liaising with the Plant Controller and international teams.

The ideal candidate holds a CIMA or ACCA qualification with 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing costing and ERP systems, and demonstrates strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant status (preferably CIMA or ACCA).
• Minimum 7 years' related experience and/or training.
• Manufacturing industry experience with standard cost systems.
• ERP system experience and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and journal entries.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to corporate policies.
• Support budgeting, payroll, regulatory reporting, and monthly closings.
• Coordinate UK statutory reporting and audits.
