Job summary

Industry & Commerce in Greater London is seeking an ACA-qualified finance professional to lead the Accounting Team in a global retail and hospitality business. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP and statutory reporting under IFRS.

You will drive analysis, support strategic decision-making, and ensure robust internal controls, with a team of four and close cooperation with the wider finance function.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) with industry experience in an accounting role.
• Experience leading a team of 4 and coordinating month-/quarter-/year-end closes.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS reporting and statutory accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting Team, ensuring timely delivery of reporting deadlines and strong controls.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close under US GAAP.
• Own UK statutory financial statements under IFRS.
• Produce P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow analysis with commentary.
• Provide financial insight to support performance and strategic decisions.

Job description

A global leading retail and hospitality business is looking to recruit an ACA qualified (or equivalent) candidate with industry experience to join its finance function.

Leading a team of 4 you will be tasked withensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts under US GAAP and statutory reporting under IFRS.

This role focuses on managing the annual audit process, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business with financial insight and guidance to enable informed decision-making.

Main duties include:

• Lead the Accounting Team, providing strong technical excellence and delivery of all reporting deadlines and providing insightful analysis and recommendations, while maintaining strong reporting controls.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes under US GAAP
• Own the preparation and filing of UK statutory financial statements under IFRS
• Produce monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow variance analysis and commentary
• Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support business performance and strategic decision-making

You will be ACA qualified (or equivalent) with industry experience in an accounting role.

Consumer experience and US GAAP experience would be desirable.
