Job summary

Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy is assisting a leading regional accountancy practice in recruiting an experienced Accounting Practice Manager for its Diss office.

This is a senior role within the Business team, responsible for a portfolio of clients and the development of people, with scope to influence how the team grows and the practice continues to expand.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification with significant post-qualified experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience of managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Strong people management and team development experience.
• Confidence working directly with clients.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships.
• Organisational ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
• Hands-on leadership while remaining engaged with the team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term relationships.
• Overseeing the delivery and quality of work across the portfolio.
• Reviewing more complex work and dealing with client matters.
• Managing, coaching and developing members of the team.
• Carrying out 1-2-1s, performance reviews and development conversations.
• Mentoring Seniors and Assistant Managers.
• Helping to manage workloads and resources across the team.
• Identifying training needs and supporting internal development.
• Working closely with Partners and senior management.
• Building relationships with professional contacts and referrers.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to other services across the practice.
• Contributing to proposals, networking and wider business development.

Accounting Practice Manager - Diss

£50,000 - £60,000 DOE | Full time

This is a senior role within the Business team, combining responsibility for a portfolio of clients with the management and development of people. You'll work closely with Partners and senior colleagues, with plenty of scope to contribute to how the team develops and how the practice continues to grow.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, long-term relationships
• Overseeing the delivery and quality of work across the portfolio
• Reviewing more complex work and dealing with client matters
• Managing, coaching and developing members of the team
• Carrying out 1-2-1s, performance reviews and development conversations
