Job summary

Mpeople Recruitment is recruiting an Accountancy Manager for a large practice. Based in the UK, you will oversee major client accounts, delegate work to junior staff, and sign off their work. A strong background in year-end accounting and tax is essential.

You will ideally be CIMA or ACCA qualified, with proven experience in an accountancy practice and the ability to manage a small team and meet tight deadlines. Attractive benefits accompany the role.

• Extensive tax knowledge – Personal and Corporation.

Our client, a large accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager from a Practice environment. You will be responsible for overseeing a number of the larger accounts and delegating accounts and work to more junior members within the team and signing off their work.

Main duties and responsibilities to include:

• Preparation of year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Liaising with clients in relation to tax returns, accounts and other potential issues
• Review of junior members of staff work and sign off for clients
• Management accounts
• Manage a portfolio of self assessments and partnership tax returns to complete each year
• Communicating with clients face to face, over the phone and email
• Extensive tax knowledge – Personal and Corporation

You will ideally need to be CIMA or ACCA qualified.

Have strong proven Accountancy practice experience.

The ability to manage and support a small team.

Work to tight deadlines.
