Job summary

Larking Gowen invites you to start your career in accounting with hands‑on experience in the Business South Team across Colchester, Ipswich or Diss. The role supports accountants and advisers, building practical skills in accounting, finance and client service.

The internship offers up to 9 months on a fixed-term contract, with potential progression to an apprenticeship studying towards AAT Levels 3 and 4.

Qualifications

• Has completed A Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Enthusiastic about starting a career in accountancy and professional services.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of accounts and financial information.
• Assisting with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software.
• Helping to prepare VAT returns and other client work.
• Maintaining accurate records and client documentation.
• Providing administrative support to the team.
• Building professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Learning about accounting processes and business advisory services.

Education
