Job summary

S&W invites energetic individuals to join our Accountancy Team in Guildford as trainees. You’ll gain hands-on experience in year-end accounts, bookkeeping and VAT, while studying towards ATT and ACCA qualifications. Training, support and practical experience accompany your progression path.

With emphasis on client exposure, you’ll work with partners and senior staff, benefiting from a mentoring network and structured learning before transitioning to more senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience in accountancy, finance or professional services required.
• Committed to pursuing ATT and ACCA qualifications.
• A Level: 112 UCAS points (top three A Levels)
• GCSE: English and Maths at Grade 5 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and their finance teams on year-end accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Assist with cloud accounting software setup and health-checks.
• Develop understanding of clients and their business.
• Provide advice to clients on accounting queries and processes.
• Support automation to improve efficiency in finance functions.
• Prioritise tasks for your client portfolio and monitor time against budget.
• Participate in internal training with L&D team.
