Reporting to the company’s Financial Controller, yet very much part of a wider collaborative team, the Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day transaction processing and reporting of the business.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Operating the accounts payable function, including but not limited to posting all invoices, matching to goods received notes (GRNs) dealing with supplier queries, managing the approval workflow and proposing invoices for payment.
• Reporting monthly on aged Creditors and workflow approval delays and issues.
• Operating the accounts receivable function, including but not limited to raising all sales invoices, raising all recharge invoices and ensuring the recharge account is reconciled, dealing with customer queries, and chasing customers for payment.
• Reporting monthly on aged Debtors and working with other TI colleagues to proactively resolve any issues preventing settlement.
• Posting bank and cash transactions and reconciling the bank accounts.
• Setting up payments on banking portal as required and proactively ensuring they are approved.
• Reconcile the credit cards (x2) monthly, ensuring appropriate backup is provided and VAT is accounted for correctly.
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
• Processing of monthly payroll; reviewing the reports and calculations which are received from the payroll provider, reconciling to the prior month for any changes should be made for approval by a reviewer. Posting of payroll journal and ensuring all payments are made on time.

Education, Work Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a medium-sized business
• Experience of xledger finance system
• Experience of VAT return preparation
