Job summary

Artemis Human Capital is currently partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a 3 month contract. The role is hybrid, offering 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with a salary of £50,000 – £60,000 pro-rata dependant on experience.

Qualifications

• recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Broad accounting experience with month-end and year-end.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and controls.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

We’re currently working with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a 3 month contract.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate running of the day-to-day finance function, while also providing valuable financial insight to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports


• Managing month-end and year-end processes


• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations


• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management


• Preparing and analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities


• Managing balance sheet reconciliations


• Supporting statutory accounts and year-end audit processes


• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation


• Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial advice and insight


• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or be qualified by experience


• Strong experience within a broad accounting role


• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills


• Good knowledge of financial reporting and month-end processes


• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience


• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines


• A proactive, commercially aware approach
