Job summary

Outsource UK in Barnstaple is recruiting an Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. The role offers hybrid working, a 35-hour week, and a salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will manage client accounts across diverse sectors, mentor junior staff, and deliver high-quality accounting and tax services for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified, currently studying towards a professional qualification, or AAT qualified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies
• Prepare corporation tax returns and computations
• Prepare personal tax returns and computations
• Complete VAT returns and assist with client queries
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting and tax-related matters
• Support the development and mentoring of junior members of the team
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales

Skills

ACA/ACCA part-qualified

2-3 years' experience in practice
