We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operations Team within MMC Corporate, at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Witham. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

As a General Ledger Analyst, you will be part of the Accounting Operations Team, which plays a crucial role in the company. We are the key partner across Controllership on all transactional accounting matters.

We handle transaction processing globally at our onshore and offshore AO Centers.

Responsibilities include:

• Review balance sheet reconciliations and assist with exception reporting, perform quality checks on offshore work,
• Review, approve, and prepare requests for ad hoc financial analyses using operational and financial analytics,
• Assist with audit processes and SOX testing,
• Support journal entry processing and month-end reporting,
• Conduct month-end checks, monitor journal entries, and oversee data uploads to Essbase,
• Analyze lease and other facilities accounts, request adjustments,
• Manage GL period close processes,
• Ensure timely completion of all month-end, quarterly, and annual tasks,
• Collaborate daily with offshore teams and controllers.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared services center,
• Knowledge of ERP accounting systems such as Oracle Financials,
• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a recognized accounting qualification like ACCA.
