Accountant - Financial Reporting Change Team

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Financial Reporting Change team. The team provides subject matter expertise to drive transformational change in Nationwide's financial reporting and controls.

The role involves ensuring that the team's documented financial controls and processes are updated to reflect changes from projects across the business, including the integration of Nationwide and Virgin Money businesses. The Accountant will support the team's strategic direction, provide accounting and controls expertise, and build stakeholder relationships.

We offer hybrid working arrangements, combining office presence at our Swindon office at least two days a week (or 40% for part-time roles). Further details will be provided if your application is successful.

Responsibilities include:

1. Documenting new and amended financial controls across various product and payment journeys.
2. Documenting process changes operated by the Financial Reporting Team.
3. Ensuring financial controls policies are maintained post-implementation.

The environment is fast-paced, with multiple stakeholders and priorities, including supporting integration activities between Virgin Money and Nationwide.

Requirements include:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience with financial controls management or design.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and on projects within a regulated organization.
