Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Accountant to join their Bolton team. The role targets individuals with experience in accountancy practice and AAT qualification progression, offering exposure to accounts, VAT, payroll, and client management.

Initial office-based work with hybrid flexibility after probation, training support, and opportunities to develop technical and client-facing skills within a modern, tech-enabled practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and/or payroll.
• AAT Level 3 qualification or working towards it.
• Experience in accountancy practice required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide support across day-to-day accounting requirements.
• Assist with preparation of accounts for sole traders and small limited companies.
• Prepare and assist with VAT returns and submissions.
• Support payroll processing and related administration.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and provide ongoing support.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Work with cloud-based accounting systems and modern digital processes.
• Take responsibility for your own workload with training and support.
• Develop knowledge across multiple areas of accountancy with career progression.
