Accountant, 6-month interim contract paying £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, based in Telford

Your new company

Hays Senior Finance are working with this great business based in Telford to help them find an Accountant on a 6-month contract.

Your new role

The job of the Accountant will be a varied one and will involve but not be limited to:

1. Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary
2. Bank reconciliations
3. Full ownership of the cashbook process
4. Weekly cashflow forecasting for all entities
5. Setting up balance sheet reconciliation
6. Accruals and Prepayments
7. Assisting with VAT Return
8. Assisting with processing supplier invoices during busy periods
9. Intercompany reconciliations
10. Supporting the annual audit process
11. Producing adhoc reporting

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role, and they will be on a maximum of 1 week's notice. The candidate should be comfortable committing to a 6-month contract and happy working on site in Telford 5 days a week.
