Job summary

NES Fircroft are supporting a key OFS client in Aberdeen with a 12-month Accountant role based in Inverurie. You will take ownership of monthly and year-end reporting for UK ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will reconcile balance sheets, prepare VAT and SOX documentation, and respond to ad-hoc financial requests. The ideal candidate will hold ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA and have strong time management to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA designation.
• Experience in UK ledgers and statutory reporting is preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit the monthly income statement and fully reconciled balance sheet for assigned UK ledgers.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly SOX compliance documentation for assigned UK ledgers.
• Prepare annual statutory audit packs to the Statutory Reporting team within deadlines.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns for assigned UK ledgers.
• Review and approve payments in accordance with controls.
• Provide financial information and analysis for ad-hoc requests.
• Participate in finance and business projects as required.
• Maintain SOX compliance and proper documentation.

Contract type - PAYE UK

Duration - 12 months

Working pattern - 37.5 hours per week (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH, once training is complete)

NES Fircroft are supporting a key OFS client in Aberdeen, with the above temporary role, which will have a focus on supporting the Non-Omega Ledgers. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information from multiple ledgers to various stakeholders.

Within the role, your focus will be to take ownership of the accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned ledgers. This includes maintaining a fully reconciled balance sheet and fulfilling all SOX reporting obligations associated with these ledgers.

The role requires strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to ensure key reporting deadlines are consistently met. You will also communicate regularly with colleagues around the world, making effective communication and collaboration essential to success in the position.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit the monthly income statement and fully reconciled balance sheet for assigned UK ledgers
• Prepare and submit monthly & quarterly SOX compliance documentation for assigned UK ledgers
• Prepare and submit annual statutory audit packs to the Statutory Reporting team within required deadlines

• Ensure balance sheet accounts are appropriately reconciled, reviewed, and supported, with outstanding items investigated and resolved in a timely manner
