Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accountancy Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy accountancy practice in the United Kingdom. You will coordinate the team, manage workflows and deadlines, and support the continued growth of the practice.

Working closely with the Partners, you will ensure compliance, handle billing and client communications, and oversee office operations, facilities and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Office Manager or similar within professional services; accountancy experience preferred.
• Strong team coordination or management experience.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Confident with Microsoft Office and practice/accounting software.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day practice operations, workflow and team workloads.
• Monitor key deadlines including accounts, tax returns, VAT and payroll.
• Support practice compliance and liaise with external IT, HR and other providers.
• Assist the Partners with profitability, budgeting, billing and credit control.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, staff development and team coordination.
• Manage office facilities, suppliers and general administration.
• Assist with marketing, client communications and organising events.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes.
