Job summary

TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a fast-growing Chartered Accountants firm in Rochester to recruit a Senior Practice Accountant. You will provide accounts and tax services to owner-managed businesses and develop your own client portfolio over time.

This role offers involvement in advisory projects and study support, with clear progression within a supportive, expanding team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experience in accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation and tax experience.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Proactive and commercially minded approach.
• Ambition to develop your own client portfolio and progress within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Managing relationships with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses.
• Liaising with clients and responding to accounting and tax queries.
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Assisting with bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts where required.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services.
• Working closely with the partners and managers on ad hoc assignments.
