Job summary

Big Fish Little Fish is recruiting an outstanding Manager in accountancy to lead a team of 8-10 accounts staff. The role focuses on delivering VAT returns, payroll, management accounts and year-end responsibilities while maintaining high levels of client service.

You will manage a portfolio of accounts, conduct regular Board Director meetings and 1-2-1s, and drive progression and development within the team.

Job description

We are currently representing and supporting our valued client within the accountancy arena. Due to growth and new business opportunity we now need to recruit an outstanding Manager.

Day to day the role will be as follows;

Managing a team of 8-10 accounts people, who will be working on a variety of accounts for their customers fulfilling VAT returns, Payroll, Management accounts, year end, HMRC responsibility and more.

As the line manager you will also be responsible for a portfolio of accounts, fulfilling a high level of service to exceed their expectations.

Regular meetings with the Board Directors.

1-2-1 duties within the team.

Managing workflow, progression and development.

Ideally you will have experience from using Xero, SAGE or similar accounts software.

The key to this role being successful is possessing strong leadership and managing a growing team.

The working week is Monday - Friday, office hours, however our client offers flexible working, and can offer upto 1-2 days per week hybrid solution if needed.
