Full-time, 37 hours per week (part-time working will be considered)
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accountancy Assistant to work in the Education Funding Specialists service.
The post is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
In the post you will be responsible for delivering effective, high quality financial services supporting both the SEND Finance team and the Financial Services to Schools team.
In your support to the SEND Finance team, you will be responsible for the distribution of grant funding, processing of invoices, raising payment requests, account reconciliations, budget monitoring and forecasting, management of shared email boxes. You will also be expected to support ad-hoc projects relating to the administration of grant funding and service improvement.
In your role supporting the Financial Service to Schools team, you will deliver traded services to local authority-maintained schools within the city, including system reconciliations. You will be responsible for maintaining accounting records and financial systems.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative, financial and IT skills with an ability to collate, analyse and present financial information.
Equally important will be the ability to engage and effectively communicate with colleagues, schools and other education providers.
