Your role in our team:

The Account Manager (Inside Sales) will help to drive revenue growth through the direct sale of bit.bio’s off-the-shelf iPSC-derived cell products to customers in the academic and commercial life sciences sectors, including pharmaceutical, biotech, and contract research organisations. The individual should have a strong background in tools or life science product sales, responsible for developing and executing a territory-specific growth strategy to support research and drug discovery. Reporting to a Regional Manager, the role involves close collaboration with internal scientific and product teams, acting as a key contact to connect bit.bio’s offerings with the wider external R&D community.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Develop and implement a sales strategy alongside the Regional Manager.
  2. Map, prospect, qualify potential customers, and sell iPSC-derived products within the territory, leading to new opportunities that convert from leads to sales.
  3. Document customer contact information and utilize tools such as Hubspot CRM.
  4. Use lead generation tools like Global Data, Sales Navigator for prospecting, background research, and positioning our products.
  5. Manage lead generation, follow-up, negotiation, and develop customer relationships from tactical to strategic levels.
  6. Utilize digital conference facilities, travel up to 25% within Europe to customer sites, support conferences, and deliver product presentations.
  7. Collaborate with Marketing on lead strategies and provide customer feedback for demand generation campaigns.
  8. Qualifications: BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Cell or Molecular Biology with laboratory experience.
  9. Significant technical sales experience in Life Sciences, especially with cell-based products.
  10. Experience working with biotech, pharma, CROs, and academic clients.
  11. Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and effective teamwork in an international environment.
  12. Ability to build partnerships with scientific customers, active listening, and delivering value.
  13. Willingness to travel up to 25% in Europe.
  14. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Essential experience includes:
  1. Proven track record in direct technical sales within Life Sciences to biotech, pharma, CROs, and academia in the UK.
  2. Experience in prospecting, opportunity assessment, sales planning, and strategy execution.
  3. Proficiency in consultative selling, building trust, and demonstrating technical skills.
  4. Understanding of the drug discovery process.
  5. Experience using CRM systems like HubSpot.
  6. Strong presentation skills to scientific audiences.
  7. MSc/PhD in Life Sciences, preferably in Cell or Molecular Biology.
  8. Fluent German language skills.
  9. Flexibility to work US time zones.
  10. Solid scientific background and understanding of iPSCs in drug discovery.
