Job summary

DGI is seeking a Dutch-speaking EU Account Manager to manage a client portfolio and drive revenue in EU regions. The role combines client visits, relationship building, and presentations with a focus on renewals and cost-saving travel solutions.

The role requires strong Dutch and English communication, prior account management in not-for-profit/academic sectors, and CRM proficiency. Hybrid working in Manchester with UK/EU travel, a competitive package, and benefits await.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch and English.
  • Proven account management experience in not-for-profit, academic and charity sectors.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internally.
  • Proven ability to present, negotiate and close renewal opportunities.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM usage.
  • Requires full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional Account Management service to clients.
  • Conduct client visits and develop strong working relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business.
  • Analyse travel purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and present information including RFIs and Tender Proposals with the New Business Team.
  • Conduct client presentations, web demos and product training.
  • Attend client exhibitions and other promotion and networking events.

Our DGI Study Trips (DST) division specialises in educational group travel, working in partnership with Colleges, Universities and other education providers, to tailor bespoke study experiences and travel itineraries to inspire students outside of the classroom.

We are looking for a Dutch speaker as EU Account Manager to join our Account Management Team to support growth in the EU regions.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and drive renewal business. Key tasks will include:

  • Providing an exceptional Account Management service to our clients
  • Conducting client visits and developing strong working relationships
  • Identifying opportunities and strategies to grow existing accounts and win new business
  • Providing analysis of travel purchasing data and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Preparing and presenting information including RFI’s and Tender Proposals alongside the New Business Team
  • Conducting client presentations, web demonstrations and product training
  • Identifying and attending client specific exhibitions and other promotional and networking events

Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Proven account management experience, ideally working with client in the not for profit, academic and charity sectors
  • Ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to offer exceptional support and present, negotiate and close renewal
  • Confident networking and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisational, planning and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong IT competency - particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM systems
  • Essential to hold a full UK driving licence

  • Salary up to £45k p.a. (pending experience), plus OTE £10k p.a (monthly performance related bonus)

This role requires regular travel to our Manchester office and to Europe, and the hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 5.30pm (UK time). Our office is based in Manchester City Centre, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days office (Tuesday – Thursday) and 2 days working from home (Monday and Friday) or more remote working (in the UK) if you are located further out.
