Job Description:

V&C Associates are working with one of the UK 's largest design studios that support and supply all areas of Fashion Retail production to major high street retailers. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Account Manager/Buyer to join their Footwear team. Working closely with the Senior Account Manager developing sales and product in partnership with our talented in-house design team.

The Account Manager/Buyer will play a crucial role in building relationships with suppliers and clients harnessing trust, reliability and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as the main point of contact.
  • Understand their business requirements to maximise sales opportunities and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends within the footwear and fashion industries. Provide insights to enhance product offerings and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration, contributing positively to team dynamics. Participate actively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions and overseeing and assisting in the technical processes related to product fitting and sealing, ensuring quality standards are adhered to throughout the production cycle.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the design team to create innovative and commercially viable footwear ranges that meet market trends and customer demands. Ensure continuous development and timely launch of new product ranges.
  • Critical Path Management: Oversee and monitor the critical path for product delivery to ensure timelines are met. Track shipping schedules,
  • production factors, and inventory flow, ensuring accuracy in stock deliveries.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between customers, suppliers, and internal teams including design and production. Ensure all stakeholders are updated on project status

Key requirements:-

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, merchandising, or a similar role within the footwear or fashion industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Familiarity with design software is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Excellent negotiation skills applied in category management and vendor relations, with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Ability to analyse market data and sales performance metrics, utilizing insights to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside the organisation.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well within a diverse team environment and contribute to collective goals.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing change effectively and responding to evolving business needs.
