Job Description:

About the Role: As an Account Manager/Buyer, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as their main point of contact. You will collaborate with the design team to create commercially viable footwear ranges that align with market trends and customer demands. Your expertise in critical path management, communication, and market awareness will drive customer satisfaction and sales success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, understand their needs, maximize sales opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  2. Product Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative footwear ranges and ensure timely launches.
  3. Critical Path Management: Oversee product delivery timelines, track shipping schedules, and monitor inventory flow.
  4. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between customers, suppliers, and internal teams about project statuses and deadlines.
  5. Market Awareness: Stay updated on footwear and fashion industry trends to enhance product offerings.
  6. Team Collaboration: Participate actively in team meetings and foster a collaborative environment.
  7. Technical Support: Assist with technical processes related to product fitting and sealing, ensuring quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: GCSE in Math and English; Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Business, Retail, or related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in account management, merchandising, or related roles in footwear or fashion industry.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with design software is a plus.
  4. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  5. Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills and vendor relations experience.
  6. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and sales metrics for strategic decisions.
