Account Manager

Do you have experience working with Boots in an account management capacity?

Do you want to represent a leading trusted brand?

MacGregor Black partnering with a Leading Baby Products brand on the search for an Account Manager. This is a permanent remote based role.

As the Account Manager, you will support the Head of Sales in the operational handling of National, Key and Strategic Independent accounts. You will manage and grow the existing portfolio of dedicated retail accounts and maximise sales and marketing opportunities within these accounts in line with the sales plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing retail key and independent partners and to maximise sales and marketing opportunities within these accounts in line with ambitious growth plans
  • Deliver on key revenue targets short-, mid- and long-term
  • Identify and prioritise new and growth accounts in line with our customer strategy
  • Proactively follow-through and close sales according to the sales plan and deliver on key revenue targets
  • Provide and maintain structured joint business plans that will stimulate growth and brand exposure.
  • Work with the Head of Sales to prepare a forecast, by item, for each account, and maintain the forecast throughout the year, continually monitoring the achievement of sales goals and proactively develop corrective action plans if necessary
  • Close liaison with customer services and accounts teams on order book management and credit risks.
  • Actively participate in market research and share insights.
  • Manage the execution of new product initiatives / launches with the retail portfolio.
  • Attend company sales meetings and shows as required including Trade and Consumer Shows
  • Monitor Sales at retail for each account and closely collaborate with the accounts to implement corrective action if necessary.

What are we looking for?

  • You will be a dynamic and hands-on person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience selling in a relevant consumer goods sector, ideally in the nursery industry, and bring with you a good knowledge of managing a large territory and multiple customers
  • Ideally have formal knowledge of targeted distribution and product categories within the nursery industry in the UK.
  • Proven track record in building strong relationships with retail accounts e.g. boots
  • Strategic Independent Account experience
  • Proven success in sales with an international manufacturing company
  • Strong and positive solution-oriented mindset with the ability to overcome obstacles as we reshape the brand in the market
