Job summary

Close Brothers Asset Finance in the United Kingdom offers a hybrid working arrangement. We seek an organised, detail-oriented person to support regional Sales teams by progressing finance applications, coordinating credit submissions, and performing initial due diligence.

The role involves liaising with Credit, Operations, Customers, Brokers and Suppliers, delivering high-quality support and ensuring timely customer outcomes while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, relationship management or related role.
• Proficiency in handling customer enquiries with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Credit and Operations functions plus customers, brokers and suppliers to solve proposal or deal documentation accuracy issues to enable timely customer outcomes
• Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our company's values and maintaining a positive brand image at all times.
• Create or support the construction of inbound proposals and perform any initial due diligence activities required
• Engage with Customers, Brokers and Suppliers via telephone and email, providing outstanding support to address proposal related enquiries and to resolve issues
• Understand the team business strategy, vision/mission and personal contribution to it.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via telephone, emails, and on occasion face to face meetings.
• Understand and comply with standard operating procedures to meet the Group’s Conduct Risk policies and the expectations of our regulators

Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance team and help convert opportunities into successful lending outcomes. Supporting regional Sales teams, you will play a key role in progressing finance applications, coordinating credit submissions, undertaking initial due diligence checks, and working with colleagues across the business to move deals efficiently through the approval process.

Working as part of our centralised Account Management team in Sidcup, you will build strong relationships with Sales colleagues and customers, helping to maintain momentum on new business opportunities while ensuring a high standard of accuracy and compliance. We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing competing priorities. Previous experience in Asset Finance would be beneficial but is not essential.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

• The ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments.
• Proven experience in customer service, relationship management or a related role.
• Proficiency in handling customer enquiries and resolving issues with a customer-centric approach.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Numerate and analytical ability.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

• Familiarity with CRM software and other customer support tools
• Good knowledge of Microsoft products
• Previous knowledge of the Financial Services industry and in a similar customer facing role.
