Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting for an Account Manager for an established electrical wholesaler in Peterborough. You will develop existing customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and drive sales growth across contractor accounts.

The role involves managing a portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships with electrical contractors and trade customers, and achieving sales and gross margin targets. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in account management or a similar sales role.
• Experience in electrical wholesale is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.

Interaction Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly respected electrical wholesaler based in Peterborough. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to join their successful sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in electrical wholesale or the wider electrical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across a portfolio of trade and contractor accounts.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase sales and maximise account potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
• Building long-term relationships with electrical contractors, installers, and trade customers.
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities within your designated territory.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience as an Account Manager, Business Development Manager, External Sales Representative, or similar sales role.
• Experience within the electrical wholesale industry is highly desirable.
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A full UK driving licence.
