ACCOUNT MANAGER

Wates offers an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Account Manager to provide operational leadership, technical management, added value, and development on our Key Account, London School of Economics.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Account Manager with experience in transferable environments, demonstrating strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for 38 buildings within the Campus and five Halls of Residence in Central London. The ideal candidate will have a recognized Technical qualification and membership to the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) or equivalent, along with solid financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing a P&L and achieving budgets.

You should possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and change management skills, with the ability to balance policy and procedure requirements with client needs, and to deliver persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and senior management.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Lead and motivate the Wates FM team by example, delivering excellence in sustainable hard M&E, reactive, and project services.
  2. Provide visible leadership and effectively liaise with key client stakeholders to nurture relationships.
  3. Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, quality, environmental, security standards, creating a Zero Harm culture. Maintain targets through timely compliance certification uploads onto ACT (Assurance Compliance Tool).
  4. Implement and uphold best practices in contract management, managing specialists and suppliers to ensure dynamic MI reporting and achievement of KPI/SLA targets.
