Job summary

Autograph Recruitment Ltd in Gloucestershire is seeking an Accounts Manager for a growing accountancy practice. You’ll manage a portfolio, prepare statutory accounts, tax work including corporation tax and VAT, and build client relationships.

You’ll supervise junior staff, meet deadlines, and contribute to process improvements. ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent, with strong practice experience and a proactive, commercially minded approach.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Manager to join a growing and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Gloucestershire.

This role offers far more than just accounts production. As an Accounts Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, manage a varied portfolio of clients, and enjoy clear long-term career progression within a supportive team.

Working closely with a range of businesses, including clients within the agricultural sector, you’ll play a key role in building strong relationships, providing high-quality accounts and tax services, and becoming a trusted advisor to your clients.

Role and duties of an Accounts Manager:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients

• Managing deadlines, workflow and budgets

Supporting the development of processes and systems

The successful Accounts Manager will be:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
• Experienced within accountancy practice
• Technically strong across accounts and tax
• Confident managing client relationships
• Organised, proactive and commercially minded
• Keen to progress and support the development of others
