Addington Ball Limited in Banbury is seeking a Finance Accounts Manager to lead a rural and agricultural client portfolio, building trusted adviser relationships and delivering proactive accounts and tax advice.

You will mentor a team, work with partners on complex advisory and tax planning, and help grow the rural advisory practice within a respected Top 100 accountancy practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA with accountancy practice background.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering accounts and tax advisory services.
• Good understanding of personal and business taxation, and tax planning.
• Interest in agriculture and rural businesses, with relevant client experience.
• Enjoy developing colleagues and building a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of rural and agricultural clients, building long-term relationships as their trusted adviser.
• Provide proactive accounts and tax advice to help clients make informed business and personal financial decisions.
• Advise on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and VAT.

Role Overview

• Manage a varied portfolio of rural and agricultural clients, building long-term relationships as their trusted adviser.
• Provide proactive accounts and tax advice, helping clients make informed business and personal financial decisions.
• Advise on areas including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and VAT.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team, creating opportunities for others to progress.
• Work closely with partners on complex advisory assignments and specialist tax planning.
• Identify opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the rural advisory team.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, with a strong background in accountancy practice.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering accounts and tax advisory services.
• A good understanding of personal and business taxation, particularly tax planning.
• An interest in agriculture, landed estates or rural businesses, ideally supported by relevant client experience.
• Someone who enjoys developing colleagues and building a successful team.
