Account Manager
Restart - Home based (Although this is a homebased role, frequent travel to multiple sites is expected)
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Salary - £34,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience plus Serco Benefits.
Main Purpose:
The Account Manager (AM) plays a crucial role in managing employer accounts to meet volume targets and deliver high quality employment, skills and training outcomes. Reporting to the Strategic Account Manager, the AM is responsible for sourcing and developing approximately 10 independently sourced accounts and in supporting the SAM in managing high volume, national employer opportunities. The AM will work closely with the Resourcer to ensure opportunities are filled efficiently and that the candidates and learners align with the employers recruitment needs, whilst also promoting the full service offering of all contracts delivered by EST.
Main Accountabilities:
- Account Management: Manage and develop a minimum of 10 key employers within a specified sector by building strong relationships with key stakeholder within each account, acting as a point of contact for all queries. Responsible for conducting regular reviews with employers to ensure services align with evolving employer needs. Develop strategies for targeting key sectors and organisations for apprenticeship and skills recruitment within a specified sector(s).
- Collaboration: To work closely with Resourcers to ensure opportunities are filled with suitable learners / candidates in a timely manner. To clearly communicate employer expectations to Resoucers to optimise candidate / learner screening and subsequent placements. Monitor the candidate / learner process to ensure quality of submissions meet employers' expectations.
- Service Offering: Ensure Serco's full-service offering (employment, skills and training) are presented to employers ensuring Serco is positioned as the employers partner of choice for all pre and post employment support (skills, employment and training). Stay informed about all contract requirements and ensure employer accounts meet performance metrics across all service offering.
- Tracking and Reporting: Track and report on key metrics such as employer account performance, including placements, satisfaction rates, sustainability, retention and repeat service usage. Provide regular updates to the Strategic Account Manager and other stakeholders on account progress, growth and potential opportunities. Use data insights to identify areas for improvement in account management, service delivery and employer engagement. Share insights and recommendations with the Stakeholder Engagement Manger to improve overall service quality and ensure screens are conducted in line with employer needs.
What you will need for the role:
- Proven experience in account management, recruitment or employer engagement, ideally within a high volume or national account environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a data driven approach to performance monitoring
- Experience in developing strategies and translating them into actionable plans.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
- High level of personal organisation and time management skills.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- An understanding of the skills and employability sector, including current trends, challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, using a variety of communication methods (spoken, written, behaviour).
- Ability to use own initiative, working independently and as part of a team.
- Highly computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates a flexible and professional approach to work.
- Maintains confidentiality and gives and receives constructive criticism.
- Proactively identifies and solves problems.
- Maintains high standards of quality and accuracy and follows procedures accurately and reliably.
