Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a proactive Account Manager in the Fire & Security sector to oversee a portfolio of client accounts, coordinate PPM schedules, and ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and British Standards. Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Outstanding communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, engineers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience using CRM or management systems preferred.
  • Experience in Fire & Security, facilities management, engineering, or maintenance sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts and build long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for fire and security systems.
  • Prepare annual maintenance schedules and ensure services meet contractual obligations and British Standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors and internal teams to complete services and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain records of client accounts, service reports, remedial works, quotes and related docs.
  • Prepare renewal quotations for existing contracts and new sites or additional works.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates and resolve queries while maintaining high service levels.
  • Support the wider operations team with scheduling, planning and delivery of maintenance programmes.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and regulations; training provided as needed.

Job Overview

Our client, a well-established company within the Fire & Security industry, is looking for a highly organised and proactive Account Manager to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operations, senior administration, service coordination, or account management experience who enjoys building client relationships while ensuring the smooth delivery of services.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring service delivery meets contractual obligations and relevant British Standards and acting as the key point of contact for clients, engineers and internal teams. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing excellent customer service and building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for fire and security systems across client sites.
  • Prepare annual maintenance schedules and ensure services are delivered in accordance with client agreements and relevant British Standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors and internal teams to ensure all planned services, remedial works and follow-up actions are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of client accounts, engineer service reports, remedial works, quotations, and associated documentation.
  • Prepare and issue renewal quotations for existing maintenance contracts, along with quotations for new sites and additional works.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates, resolve queries and ensure a consistently high level of service.
  • Support the wider operations team with scheduling, planning and the successful delivery of maintenance programmes.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations relating to the Fire & Security sector, with full training provided where required.
About You
  • Previous experience in an Account Manager, Operations Coordinator, Senior Administrator, Service Coordinator, or similar client-facing operational role.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, engineers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good IT skills and experience using CRM or management systems (preferred).
  • Experience within the Fire & Security, facilities management, engineering, or maintenance sectors would be advantageous.

Location & Travel
