Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment Services are recruiting an Account Handler for an established insurance client on the outskirts of Crawley. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working after training and a salary of £38,000–£45,000 DOE.

You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients, maintain strong relationships and provide high-quality service throughout the policy lifecycle, including renewals and claims support.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial general insurance.

• Willingness to work towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications.

Are you an experienced insurance professional looking for your next opportunity?

Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with an established insurance client who are looking to recruit an experienced Account Handler to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in commercial insurance who is looking to build on their existing experience, develop their skills and progress their career.

You will play an important role in looking after existing commercial clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring they receive a high level of advice and service throughout the life of their policies.

What You Will Be Doing

You will have responsibility for looking after clients from initial enquiry through to renewal and beyond. This will include:

• Managing day-to-day requirements for a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Reviewing existing policies and approaching the market where alternative or improved terms may be appropriate.
• Preparing renewal information and discussing options with clients.
• Dealing with new commercial enquiries and helping to develop new business opportunities.
• Liaising with insurers and preparing clear, accurate information for quotations and new business.
• Making policy changes and ensuring clients receive the correct documentation.
• Reviewing documentation carefully to ensure everything is accurate and meets the client's requirements.
• Supporting clients throughout the claims process and maintaining regular communication.
• Building lasting relationships with both clients and insurance providers.
• Keeping accurate records and ensuring all activity is properly documented.
• Working within regulatory, compliance and internal quality standards.
• Providing support across the wider team when required.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience within commercial general insurance.
• A good understanding of commercial insurance products and the insurance lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority requirements.
• Certificate in Insurance level knowledge, or a willingness to work towards relevant Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence when speaking with clients and insurers.
• A professional and personable approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The confidence to use your own judgement while knowing when to ask for support.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to continue learning.
