5W Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to join our Corporate practice in New York. The role focuses on corporate and B2B PR, expert pitching, and strong account and time management to deliver consistent media results.

You’ll manage workflow, develop media materials, build media relationships, plan strategies, pitch ideas, monitor coverage, and support new business efforts. Ideal candidates have PR agency experience and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• B.S/B.A in Public Relations or related field.
• 2–3 years of PR agency experience, corporate space preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create proactive pitch ideas based on industry trends.
• Monitor media and seek speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.

5W Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to join our Corporate practice. The ideal individual will have worked with Corporate or B2B-focused clients within an agency setting, is an expert at pitching, and possesses superior account and time management skills.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.

• Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.

• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media in order to ensure placements

• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy

• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans

• Create and develop pro‑active pitch ideas for clients based on industry, current trends and various announcements

• Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as “experts in their field”

• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results

• Assist in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations

• Provide guidance and leadership to junior‑level staff

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients

Here’s what you have:
