Account Director is responsible for working directly with key customers to enhance their overall experience with HireRight, focusing on customer retention, product and service optimization, and ensuring services are ordered as expected/contracted. The role primarily manages enterprise-level customers, including multi-national clients with broad product use, typically with annual revenues between $700k and $3MM.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships, including communications, expectations, stakeholder relationships, sponsorship, and governance.
- Establish trusted adviser relationships to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and customers, communicating features, processes, and roadmaps, and developing account success plans.
- Coordinate with Implementation Services for transitions and re-implementations.
- Monitor and facilitate customer adoption of services and time to revenue.
- Leverage customer relationships for advocacy, user groups, case studies, and references.
- Inform customers of procedural changes.
- Identify opportunities for optimization based on customer risk profiles.
- Monitor customer business health via analytics, KPIs, and meetings.
- Ensure customers utilize available materials, training, and communication channels.
- Understand competitive positioning within customer organizations.
- Navigate internal resources to ensure positive engagement and loyalty.
- Operate within a global, matrix environment.
- Mentor Key Account Managers and Senior Key Account Managers.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Account Management or Sales experience in large, complex organizations with 1,000+ employees.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Deep knowledge of a technical discipline or area.
- Basic understanding of internal relationships within the company.
- Clear understanding of roles within own area.
Scope of Impact:
- Lead small project teams with manageable risks and resources.
- Advise middle management on functional matters and policies.
- Monitor costs and manage budgets for small projects.
- Train professional staff.
Strategic Planning:
- Identify and adapt solutions to complex or undefined problems.
- Solve complex issues using existing solutions and new perspectives.
- Make decisions based on interpretive thinking and judgment.
Customer Focus:
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs, modifying practices accordingly.
- Adjust communication style to the audience.
- Persuade others to adopt ideas or initiatives.
