We’re seeking a strategic, media-savvy Account Director to join our award-winning Corporate Affairs team. You’ll partner with senior management to lead work for high-profile clients across various sectors — shaping narratives, navigating reputational challenges, and delivering impactful campaigns. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take on broader leadership responsibilities, balancing hands-on delivery with strategic oversight, mentorship, and business development.

The role

As an Account Director, you will:

  • Lead client accounts daily, providing strategic counsel and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Develop and implement corporate communication strategies across media, digital, internal, and stakeholder channels
  • Lead media engagement initiatives and secure high-quality coverage through strong journalist relationships
  • Manage reputational issues, including crisis response, regulatory positioning, and change communications
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative environment
  • Drive organic growth and contribute to new business efforts, from ideation and pitches to proposals

About you

You are a natural communicator with a proactive approach, creative ideas, and a solid understanding of reputation management. You also bring:

  • Experience in corporate communications, preferably within an agency setting
  • Proven ability to deliver integrated communication programs from strategy to execution
  • Strong knowledge of the UK media and political landscape
  • Experience in issues and crisis management
  • Confidence advising senior stakeholders and handling sensitive challenges
  • Commercial awareness and a knack for identifying growth opportunities
  • A team-oriented mindset, passionate about mentoring and excellence
  • An interest in innovation, especially how AI influences communications
