About the Role

You’ll lead and coordinate the delivery of:

  • Surface Water Management Plans
  • Local Flood Risk Management Strategies
  • Strategic and Outline Business Cases
  • Operational support for LLFA statutory functions

You’ll also:

  • Develop proposals and business plans for local authority work
  • Mentor and supervise early-career professionals
  • Ensure quality assurance and technical excellence across projects

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or related discipline
  • Chartered status and demonstrable experience in the Flood and Coast sector
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage budgets, programmes, and scope
  • Strong commercial awareness, including tendering and contract management
  • Excellent communication skills to engage clients and stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Familiarity with QA processes and stakeholder engagement
