We Do Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a part-time role (30 hours per week). The position offers flexible working, three days in the office and two days from home, with a supportive Finance Director and a family-run environment focused on improving finance processes.
The role covers day-to-day accounting across two entities, managing ledgers, reconciliations, and VAT, with experience in Xero and integrated systems.
A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a part-time role with genuine flexibility, a supportive Finance Director and a business that has invested in making its finance processes as efficient as possible.
You'll be joining an established, family-run business with a strong reputation in its market and ambitious plans for continued growth. It's a friendly, down-to-earth environment where people work closely together, and there's a real focus on improving systems, processes and the way the business operates.
The role is 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work either four days of 7.5 hours or five days of 6 hours. You'll spend three days a week in the office, with the remaining time working from home.
You'll be working closely with the Finance Director, taking ownership of the day-to-day accounting across two entities. It's a small finance function, so they're looking for someone experienced, organised and comfortable managing their own workload without needing constant supervision.
One of the big positives is that the business has already invested heavily in its finance systems and processes. They use Xero alongside integrated systems, meaning much of the repetitive work is automated rather than relying on manual data entry.
They're looking for someone who enjoys transactional finance, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and wants a role they can settle into for the longer term.
This would be a great move for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting but wants a better balance around their working week.
You'll have the flexibility of a part-time role, well-established systems, a Finance Director who trusts people to get on with their work and the opportunity to become an important part of a growing family-run business.
