Manpower Group (UK) in Cardiff City Centre is seeking an Accommodation Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day repairs and routine upkeep in student housing. You will help keep rooms and communal areas safe, functional and presentable for residents.
The role covers general repairs, fixture installation, painting touch-ups, safety equipment updates, and routine checks, with move-in support during busy periods. 9:00 am–5:30 pm shifts; PAYE weekly pay; temporary contract for nine days.
Location: Cardiff City Centre
Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm
Pay: £13.70 per hour

The Accommodation Maintenance Assistant supports the smooth running and upkeep of student accommodation by carrying out day to day repairs, basic DIY tasks, and routine maintenance. The role ensures rooms and communal areas remain safe, functional, and presentable, contributing to a positive living experience for all residents.
General Repairs - Complete minor repairs such as fixing cupboard doors, tightening hinges, repairing handles, and addressing small faults.
Picture & Fixture Installation - Hang pictures, noticeboards, and other fixtures securely and accurately.
Painting & Touch Ups - Carry out small paintwork touch ups to maintain a clean and well kept environment.
Safety Equipment Updates - Replace or update fire blankets and ensure basic safety equipment is correctly installed and maintained.
Routine Checks - Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas to identify maintenance needs early.
Reporting & Documentation - Record completed tasks, report larger issues to the appropriate team, and ensure all work meets required standards.
Move In Support - Assist during student arrival periods by preparing rooms and addressing last?minute maintenance requirements.
DIY Competence - Confident with basic tools and practical repairs.

Ability to use basic hand tools safely and confidently.
Knowledge of minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep.
