Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd's Ely-based client is seeking a Product Assembler on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role involves assembling specialist accessories, with training across a range of processes and equipment, and the opportunity to support other areas of the business.

You will work Mon-Thu 7:30am-4:30pm and Fri 7:30am-12:30pm in a manufacturing environment, focusing on accuracy, teamwork and continuous improvement to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• A practical, hands-on approach with good mechanical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive team player who works well with others.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues.
• A willingness to learn new skills and support different areas of the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Assembling accessories, from picking components through to final packing and preparation for dispatch.
• Pick and prepare components accurately, keeping stock records up to date.
• Follow work orders and assembly instructions correctly.
• Work as part of the team to meet production targets.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Support Team Leaders with training, cross-training and workplace improvement activities.
• Help identify and solve problems and suggest ways to improve quality and production.
