Job summary

Northern is seeking a TRU Accessibility Lead for a 12-month FTC based in Manchester. You will influence major infrastructure projects to prioritise accessibility, working with stakeholders to shape station design and inclusive customer handling strategies.

You will lead accessibility engagement, conduct Equality Impact Assessments, and ensure clear, accessible customer communications across the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in accessibility, inclusion, or equality roles.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility legislation (e.g. Equality Act 2010).
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key advisor on station upgrades, embedding accessibility into design and supporting delivery.
• Support the development of Strategic Customer Handling Plans across 20+ disruptive scenarios.
